James Robb

James joined Yellowbrick in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer on the query planning and optimization team. He holds a masters in computer science but worked for many years as a self-taught developer before sparking an interest in academia.  James has had the opportunity to work in several areas of tech so far including web, gaming, cloud computing, and now data warehouses.

James is based in Iceland, and he self-describes as a “tinkerer” because he finds himself interested in how most things work – if you get a chance to speak to him you will notice he likes to ask questions. When not on the clock he likes to cook, play video games, do most anything DIY, and spend time with friends and family.
